Engineers India Ltd shines, earns Rs 1,496 cr income in 2015-16

Engineers India Limited (EIL) organised its 51st Annual General Meeting in New Delhi recently. The AGM was presided by CMD Sanjay Gupta. All Functional Directors, Independent Directors, Nominee of the President of India and Company Secretary attended the meet. Investors, shareholders and other key stakeholders attended the AGM in large numbers.

Addressing the gathering, CMD said that despite sluggish global macro-economic environment, India has sustained a strong growth trajectory owing to positive policy initiatives of the government. As a result of this growth momentum, EIL envisages good business opportunities in hydrocarbon sector as well as in diversified areas of operations.

Sharing the performance highlights for FY2015-16, CMD stated that total income from services rendered during the year was Rs.1,496 crore, of which revenues from Consultancy & Engineering Services was Rs.992 crore. 

The revenue from overseas operations touched all time high of Rs.329 crore, a year-on-year increase of 49%. During his speech, C&MD also apprised the shareholders of the Company’s achievements and initiatives in the areas of R&D, Human Resources, CSR, Make In India, Quality 
Management etc.
