Energy audits to help consumers save power

Delhi’s private power distribution company BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL) on Thursday signed a pact with French energy major Schneider Electric to help consumers reduce power consumption by 30 per cent through energy audits.
‘Schneider, as a technical partner, will study the electricity load, load profile, power factor of a consumer and suggest efficient energy utilisation,’ said a statement from BRPL.
Initially, energy intensive consumers such as industries, hotels, malls, hospitals and commercial buildings will be targeted.
‘By deploying these energy efficiency solutions, consumers can reduce their energy bills
anywhere between 10-30 per cent, without compromising on any of their energy needs,’ the
statement added.
