End of road for Nawab of Najafgarh?

Following a string of poor performances, dashing opener Virender Sehwag has been left out of the squad for the remaining two Tests against Australia. The decision didn't come as a surprise with the Delhi batsman, whose average since the century against England in November 2012 is a mere 18.11, totalling only 27 runs in the present series. Still, BCCI indeed made a very bold statement by removing Sehwag without even naming a replacement. At 34, the journey back through the treacherous grinds of domestic cricket will certainly not be easy for Sehwag, arguably the most brutal batsman to emerge post the Vivian Richards era. Moreover, considering his poor outing outside India in recent times, the upcoming schedule comprising four back-to-back away tours doesn't help Sehwag either. The emergence of the likes of Murali Vijay, Shikhar Dhawan and Ajinkya Rahane further complicates the matter...
