Enamelled grace

Enamelled grace
The talented artistes from the Enamellist Society of India showcase different styles, all using the versatile medium of Fired Enamel on Copper or Steel. Each piece individualistic, yet enlightening in design and colour.

Get a glimpse of the intricate and interesting world of enamel art at the Galerie Romain Rolland, Alliance Francaise de Delhi from 28 November to 4 December.

The participating artistes are Anindita Kishore ,Bhaskar Kishore , Jyoti Singh, Kana Lomror, Pradeep Malhotra, Ritu Sangal, Seema Uppal, Shruti Dev, Triveni Mahajan and Veenu Shah.

The artists come together to offer a rich experience, mainly because they share the same creative zeal and a similar fascination for the process of firing that creates a piece of enamel art.

In addition to wall art and sculpture, they present standing sculptures, table pieces and enamel jewellery.

The works are so skillfully done that they will make one fall in love with the hands that created these art pieces.

Besides showcasing, the members of the Enamellist Society are also committed to teaching the ancient art of enameling. The medium is taught from the Society Studio at 25 Chirag Enclave and the newly established Studio at Sanskriti Pratishthan, Anandgram, on the M.G. Road.

Although Enamel is an ancient craft, embellishing jewellery and precious metals for millennia, the concept of Studio Enamelling as practiced by individual artiste, is fairly new in India. Get a glimpse of the intricate and interesting world of enamel art.
