Employment to 1L in next 6 months in J’khand: Das

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghuvar Das on Sunday said that he will provide one lakh employment to the people of the state in the next six months.

The Chief Minister, who was in the steel city to take part in several functions including a picnic program organised by the party workers of his home constituency, Jamshedpur East assembly seat, said the process for recruiting 10,000 policemen is underway while 34,000 teachers will be appointed by March.

“In fact, I have targeted to provide one lakh employment in next six months time”, he said. Das further said that the development of the state is not possible without developing infrastructure.
Hence, our focus is now to develop infrastructure wherever it is necessary, he said.

The state government has plans to develop the state capital Ranchi into an IT hub like the automobile hub in Kolhan region comprising East and West Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharswan districts, he said.
Das said a meeting with the Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Public sector company Heavy Engineering Corporation (HEC) would be convened soon to discuss about their unutilized land to develop a IT hub.

Referring to Tata Steel’s proposed International Airport near here, Das said it required around 1000 acres of land whereas the private steel major has acquired 600 acres of land so far. “I had a discussion with the Chairman of Airport Authority in this connection and assured the company of all assistance to establish an airport, which would also promote investment in the state,” he said. . In an attempt to attract investment in the state, Das said he had discussion with seventy Non-Resident Indians during the recent Vibrant Gujarat summit held in Ahmedabad.

They have shown keen interest to invest in the state, the chief minister said, adding, that his government has plans to convene a meeting with those NRIs after the state budget session to discuss this in details.

Depending on the success of the meeting, he said the state government may plan to launch a summit on the pattern of Vibrant Gujarat next year. Das said that developmental work in mineral-rich Jharkhand would be visible soon as laxity by government officials would not be tolerated.
“We will ensure a good and corruption-free governance in the state,” he said.

Elaborating on the government’s plan to achieve rapid development of the state, Das said he himself would visit panchayats and villages across the state to oversee the implementation of the government’s fund meant for developmental work after the state budget.

‘Jharkhand will have ATS’

CM Das told at a function here on Saturday that the police would get full cooperation in meeting internal security challenges as government’s priority is to provide security to the people of the state. An Investigation Training Institute would be set up in 2015-16 fiscal, an official release said quoting him. Land would soon be made available for setting up Musabani Police Training Centre, it said, adding that state’s Women’s Battalion would be further strengthened.
