Bollywood actor Nimrat Kaur says there is a need to be more aware of how animals are treated in India. “We really need to be more conscientious of how animals are treated, whether its wildlife or its just stray animals”, said Nimrat.
Her views on a video of a puppy being thrown down from a multi-story building went viral on the internet, and another video showing some boys burning alive three puppies at a graveyard
in Hyderabad created quite a stir.
The actor, also stresses on the importance of imparting education to all. She said,“The other thing that I feel very passionately about is education among children whether its girl child or a boy child, I think education eventually is the way out of any tunnel that we find ourselves in at the lower strata of the society.”
Nimrat, who has also made a mark internationally with her work in shows like ‘Homeland’ and ‘Wayward Pines’, added that “If there is in anyway I can contribute to any of these causes, if not all then these are the closest to my heart.”
