Eden security beefed up ahead of B’desh-NZ tie

Elaborate police arrangements were made for the T20 world cup cricket match at Eden Gardens on Saturday.
Bangladesh will face New Zealand in this match.
Security arrangements were beefed up in and around Eden Gardens when Bangladesh cricketers were practicing in the afternoon. Policemen were deployed outside the hotels where the players of the two teams are staying.
Additional police arrangements have been made in and around Ranji Stadium on Sunday. Dog squad and bomb squad personnel carried frisking operation at the car parking lot and at the entry and exit points.
The spectators will have to show tickets at the gate situated a few yards from the entrance and those with valid tickets will be allowed. The spectators will not be allowed to carry water bottles inside the gallery.
The gates will be opened two hours before the match. The cars with stickers will be allowed only to park in the area earmarked for the purpose.
There will be additional security for the buses carrying the players to the stadium. All the senior officers of city police will be on duty. They went to the stadium and monitored the last minute arrangement.
