ECI will launch mobile app to monitor polls

In a bid to ensure free and fair election, the Election Commission of India (ECI) will introduce mobile application to monitor the forthcoming Assembly polls.

The application will help the ECI officials to understand the situation at ground level. The ECI will get information about the incidents of violence if there is any, during the election through this mobile app. Senior ECI officials, inspecting various districts at the time of polls will be able to upload the photographs of the polling stations. The Senior election officials sitting at the city office will be able to see the situation in the far away districts.   The ECI can answer to the querries of various political party leaders. 

The ECI can monitor the situation during the polls through this application.
