eBay starts scheme to sell imported goods at 60% discounts
In a dubious move, American online retailer eBay on Wednesday launched a scheme to sell imported products like Apple iPhone and iPad, HTC and Samsung at up to 60 per cent discount in India.
“We are the only online marketplace that enable products to be sourced from global sites to India. Indian consumers can avail up to 60 per cent discount across 12,000 deals during this shopping promotion which ends on May 15,” eBay India Director & Business Head Vidmay Naini said in a statement. The promotional scheme started from Wednesday.
“Shoppers need not worry about exchange rate conversions, shipping costs, custom duty and order tracking, as eBay India will be offering all deals at an all-inclusive INR price and at no hidden costs,” the statement said.
