DVC holds state level painting competition on energy conservation

To create awareness on  “Energy Conservation’’, the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) under Ministry of Power, Govt. of India has embarked upon organising state level painting competition all over the country amongst school students of class-IV to VI (Group-A) and class- VII to IX (Group-B). 

Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) being the nodal agency organized the painting competition in West Bengal in coordination with the Education Department,  Govt. of West Bengal.

 In the primary round 1.10 lac students participated and the panel of jurist selected best 50 entries from each group who competed in the final round at DVC Towers, VIP Road, Kolkata, on 9th Nov.2016. 

From each group the 1st, 2nd & 3rd winners were selected. The best three of group- ‘A’ would participate in the National Level Painting Competition to be held in Delhi. Shri A.K.Singh, IAS, Commissioner of Education, Govt. of West Bengal wasthe Chief Guest on the said occasion and gave away the prizes.
