DUTA says DU must say sorry to NET aspirants

Following the outrage of the UGC-NET aspirants at the gross negligence and mismanagement by the authorities of Kirori Mal College in the conduct of the exam, the Delhi University Teachers Association (DUTA) has showed concern. DUTA president Amardeo Sharma said, ‘While this shameful incident tarnishes the image of Delhi University, the undue anxiety suffered by the NET aspirants necessitates a public apology on the part of the university administration.’

‘The university must be held responsible for the irregularities committed in the proper conduct of this exam as Kirori Mal College is a fully university-administered institution,’ Sharma added. DUTA said that though Kirori Mal College has been a distinguished college of DU, the incident is a result of a severe trust deficit between the governing body and the teachers.
