DU’s right, left wings fight for post of DUTA president

The right and left wings in Delhi University have <g data-gr-id="10">neck</g> to neck fight for the post of president of Delhi University Teachers Association (DUTA). According to University administration over 80 per cent teachers cast their vote in the ensuing election for the teachers body.

According to the last count the incumbent president of DUTA Nandita Narayan who is also candidate from left backed Democratic Teachers Front (DTF) is in a close fight with Bharatiya Janta Party backed National Democratic Teaches Front (NDTF) candidate V K Negi. In the University election held on Thursday 6,900 out of 8,700 teachers of various colleges of Delhi University used their franchise. As per the results declared for the 15 executive members of DUTA, four each <g data-gr-id="12">were</g> bagged by NDTF and DTF. 

Anti-left teachers association – Academic for Action Development won <g data-gr-id="11">three three</g> seats while two went for others.
