The Kolkata Police is promoting smart puja guide 2015 powered by <g data-gr-id="39">city based</g> startup developing <g data-gr-id="37">Utsavapp</g> that will offer easy guide to revellers based on their location to visit their favourite 

puja mandaps.

“Kolkata police has <g data-gr-id="49">taken-up</g> the <g data-gr-id="48">Utsavapp</g> for the 10 days of this Puja as Kolkata Police puja guide. It is a big thing for us that Kolkata Police has agreed to promote it,” <g data-gr-id="50">Utsavapp</g> Chief Technology Officer Sumit Das told PTI.

After one follows the download and sign-in route, he can explore puja and choose <g data-gr-id="44">location</g> where to visit with google map.

One can find eight locations for searching famous puja pandal with locations in North Kolkata, South Kolkata, Central Kolkata, East Kolkata, Behala Area, Port Area, South East Kolkata and Jadavpur Area.

“You will find puja <g data-gr-id="43">pandel</g> after selecting a location, press your famous Puja and find the location with Google Map.” 

There is <g data-gr-id="54">a SOS</g> button on the app which can be used a person in distress to send his or her present location to friends and relatives.

You may also be lucky to get puja <g data-gr-id="36">bhog</g> delivered at your doorstep free meant for a lucky few on this Maha-Ashtami by the app-based cab operator Ola.

Another app Railyatri that offers complete train travel related information services has also come out with a puja guide for people using trains be it local or metro.

“Due to thousands of pandals, it is hard to decipher the must-watch pandals from the others. We have solved this problem by suggesting some of the eminent pandals nearby your metro and local railway station. The app also tells the users the approximate distance between the station and the Pandal, besides showing the most awarded Pandals,” RailYatri.in business head & VP, Aparajita Mukhopadhyay said.

The app cab operator Ola spokesperson said cabs will be made available for Kolkata as usual even during this festive nights for on demand cabs.

Meanwhile, for those who are unable to make it to the puja mandaps there is ThePujaApp.com offering an interactive virtual application used to showcase the artistic creative Durga puja pandals from across Kolkata.
