DU prof drags VC, Thampu to High Court seeking stay on inquiry

DUTA President and mathematics professor in St Stephen’s college Nandita Narain on Monday moved the Delhi high court seeking a stay on the move to initiate inquiry proceedings against her for allegedly interfering in the functioning of three colleges. The petition, which is listed for hearing on Tuesday before Justice Sunil Gaur, has contended that “arbitrary and illegal” inquiry proceedings that have been initiated against her by the university at the behest of VC Dinesh Singh and St Stephen’s principal Thampu of whom Narain has been a vocal critic.
