DTU students bag Cargill scholarship

Two Delhi Technological University (DTU) students Deepali Kansal and Nishita Tanwar have been selected as Cargill Global Scholars. Kansal pursuing B.Tech in Civil Engineering and Tanwar pursuing B.Tech in Information Technology will be awarded $2,500 (Rs 1.48 lakh) per year for up to three years in this inaugural year of the Cargill Global Scholars programme.

The students were given the scholarships on Monday by Ruchika Malhotra, assistant professor in the department of Software Engineering, DTU, in the presence of senior officials of Cargill at Hotel Taj in Gurgaon. Ten students were selected for this award in India. Cargill, working with the Institute of International Education (IIE), has launched this new scholarship programme in five countries including India to help build future
potential leaders.
