There seems to be no end to the turmoil within the BJP over who would be the prime ministerial candidate of the party. As the chorus grew louder for declaring Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi as the face of the party, BJP president Rajnath Singh on Monday gave out a stern warning to party cadre to not air their views publicly on this matter. ‘I am making this appeal to our leaders to behave within the prescribed limits as such comments (about PM candidature) hurt every body; I am not going to make this appeal again,’ he said. Singh’s warning, however, had little effect. ‘Yashwant Sinha never talks light and speaks only after giving deep thought on an issue, I stand with him on what he has said,’ said MP Shatrughan Sinha referring to Sinha’s comment on declaring Modi as the PM candidate.
