Don’t give tips to Bebo: Sharmila

Once bitten, twice shy. Several flip flops after her announcement on the Saifeena wedding date, yesteryear diva Sharmila Tagore has now chosen to be tight-lipped about the most-talked about wedding in B-town for some time.
On being asked whether any new date has been fixed for the wedding, Sharmila refrained from commenting. ‘No comments on wedding,’ she told Millennium Post on the sidelines of the ongoing PCJ Delhi Couture Week.
On Thursday, Tagore walked the ramp as showstopper for Delhi-based designer duo Ashima and Leena. Does she wear their clothes on a regular basis? ‘No, these are too ornamental. You don’t really get many occasions to wear them,’ she said.
And would she recommend them to Kareena for her wedding? ‘I don’t recommend anything to anybody,’ said the actor. Has Tagore decided what she would wear for her son’s wedding? ‘No, I haven’t thought of it yet,’ she said. Her favourite colours for bridalwear? ‘I like red. But not those maroons, more like the tomato reds. Also, I like shades of pink, they are really lovely,’ she said.
On a different note, how does she manage to keep herself fit even at this age? Tagore admitted that it was getting increasingly difficult. ‘It’s very hard work. I am eating a lot of rice now,’ she said, laughing.
The former Censor Board chairperson was in a great mood after the show. So when designer Leena Singh said their collection was meant at those beautiful and elegant, the graceful Tagore playfully chided her, asking: ‘And what about those who are not beautiful or elegant?’
