DMRC set to open corporate park on Airport Express Line

In a bid to generate sustainable additional revenue as well as to facilitate Delhi Metro commuters by providing one-stop solution for their needs, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is going to develop a corporate park at the Delhi Airport Metro Express Line (Dwarka Sector-21). This move will give commuters more options to shop and grab a bite while generating additional revenue for the Delhi Metro.

Corporate Park will be made in the depot of the Delhi Airport Metro Express Line. The depot has approximately 1223.29 sqm area at the second floor, which is proposed to be licensed out for 25 years to a bidder selected by the DMRC. The built-up space has prominent and spacious frontage and captive commuter base. This built-up area presents a unique opportunity for office players.

It also provides incentive for private sector participant developers. This built-up area, owing to its strategic location, will present a unique opportunity for office space.

The Airport Express Line is a Delhi Metro Line from New Delhi Metro station to Dwarka Sector-21, linking the Indira Gandhi International Airport, Palam Airport, Dhaula Kaun, Shivaji Stadium. The D-21 Corporate Park is in the vicinity of Dwarka Sector-21 and Dwarka Sector 8 Metro stations.

According to a senior DMRC official, work is in progress to chalk out the details for giving out space on a 25-year lease.

“Any product or material, the storage and sale of which may lead to or be considered as a fire hazard; such as fire crackers, industrial explosives, chemicals etc, sale of liquor and alcohol-based drinks or beverages, sale of tobacco and its products, ATM, coal/gas-based cooking will be strictly prohibited. Even advertisements at any location and in any format will not be allowed. Banqueting and similar activities will also be restricted. Restaurant, food courts etc, except for local/limited use as per prior approval of Metro authority will not be allowed in the corporate park premise,” said the official.
