DMRC gets new Director (Ops)

With an experience of over 33 years, and 11 years in Delhi Metro Rail Corporation itself, Sharat Sharma is now ready to replace Raj Kumar, who retired on Monday. Sharma  will take the charge as the new Director of Operations of DMRC from Tuesday onwards. He was working as the Executive Director in the Electrical Department of the Corporation.

Sharma, a brilliant student throughout his academic career, did his graduation in Electrical Engineering from Aligarh Muslim University. He also did MBA in Finance, along with post graduate diploma in Human Resources.

For the last 11 years, he had been responsible for designing and execution of electrical works of Phase 1 and led the entire electrical team in tendering, designing and executing the electrical assignments of Phase 2.  At present, he was involved in the tendering of electrical projects of Phase 3.

Having an in-depth knowledge about the issues related to the operations and maintenance about the systems of Metro as well as Railway,  he has also been involved in the preparation of the Detailed Project Reports for Metro systems across the country.
