Djokovic leads Serbia against USA

World No. 1 Novak Djokovic, leading Serbia’s Davis Cup quarter-final charge against the United States, will take on John Isner in the opening singles match of their World Group tie on Friday.

Djokovic is one of just two top-10 player, along with France’s Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, who will be competing in the Davis Cup World Group quarter-finals this weekend.

In the absence of Serbian number two Janko Tipsarevic, enduring a dry spell on the ATP tour, world No. 44 Viktor Troicki will join Djokovic playing singles for Serbia, who lifted the trophy in the nations tennis competition in 2010.

Troicki will take on Sam Querrey in Friday’s second singles in Boise, the capital of Idaho which is located at an altitude of 800m.
