DJB rewards Revenue department employees for good performance

Delhi Jal Board on Saturday distributed prizes to its employees and officials working in the Revenue department in a function held in the Auditorium of the Delhi Maharashtra Education and Cultural Society, Aaram Bagh. 

The prizes were given as an acknowledgement of the good performances of the employees and officials in the third billing cycle of 2015-16.

“Revenue is an extremely important function of the Delhi Jal Board. It is the policy of the Delhi Government to provide potable water supply to all and thus it is very important that those who work hard to ensure efficient services to the consumers be rewarded,” said Kapil Mishra, Minister for Water and Chairperson of DJB. In the function the Zonal Revenue offices which performed exceptionally well were given recommendation letters and cash prizes. “The aim of the Revenue Department is to complete 6 billing cycles every year and to provide efficient services to the consumers,” he added.
The first prize of Rs 35,000 was given to the Pratap Nagar zone. 

The second and third prizes of Rs 30,000 and Rs 25,000 were given to the Jhandewalan zone and the Burari zones respectively.

As per the policy of DJB the prize money will be equally distributed among the Zonal Revenue Officer, meter invigilators, meter readers and computer operators who made more than 90 percent bills. 

The three meter readers, who showed extraordinary performance - Jaswant Singh, Randheer Singh and Lokesh Kumar received first, second and third prizes and were given Rs 5,000, Rs 3,000 and Rs 2,000 respectively along with recommendation letters.
