DJB driver murdered in North-West Delhi

A 44-year-old Delhi Jal Board (DJB) driver was allegedly stabbed to death by two unidentified bike borne assailants near Bharat Nagar area of North-West Delhi on late Friday night. 

The deceased has been identified as Bharat Bhushan. Police said that he along with three other DJB employees were coming back after repairing a pipeline when the incident took place. According to police, the incident took place at around 12:30am when Bhushan along with DJB employees got a call to repair a pipeline. After finishing their work, they were coming back to the DJB factory in Ashok Vihar when they stopped their vehicle.

Police alleged that the employees were in an inebriated condition and stopped their vehicle on the roadside and started fighting. When the two bike borne men stopped their motorcycle and tried to intervene, Prashant asked them to leave. They got infuriated and stabbed Prashant twice on his thigh after which they fled from the spot.
