Dinesh Kumar is EPCH’s new chairman

The Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) has unanimously elected Dinesh Kumar as new Chairman in its 144th meeting of Committee of Administration (COA) held here on Monday. 

Kumar representing M/s Orient Art & Crafts, New Delhi,  is a leading exporter of handicrafts from India.  He has been associated with the Handicrafts sector for more than four decades. Kumar also runs <g data-gr-id="16">retail</g> business of handicrafts products and have manufacturing units. He has served in various capacities as <g data-gr-id="15">member</g> of the Committee of Administration, President - Trade Fairs and Vice-Chairman-EPCH.  Kumar is also one of the Directors of India Exposition Mart Ltd, Greater Noida. 

Kumar expressed his gratitude to members of Committee of Administration of EPCH for electing him as Chairman of Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts, an apex organisation for <g data-gr-id="22">promotion</g> of Exports of Handicrafts from the country. The New Chairman, Dinesh Kumar said that in order to sustain this growth, the international marketing initiatives, cluster development projects, design and product development, new policy initiatives are needed to be pursued more vigorously. The exports of Handicrafts have shown an increase from Rs27,746.84 <g data-gr-id="19">cr</g> (2014-15) to Rs23,504.42 <g data-gr-id="20">cr</g> during the year 2013-14.
