Dilip Kumar to be discharged in 3 days

Veteran actor Dilip Kumar, who was hospitalised following respiratory problems last week, is “recovering well” but will have to stay in hospital for at least three more days.

The 93-year-old actor was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in suburban Bandra on April 16. “He is much better today. He is recovering well. We had conducted few tests and the results have been satisfactory. We will conduct few more tests with the permission of the family,” Dr Jalil Parkar of Lilavati Hospital said on Monday. 

“He will be in the hospital for another three days at least,” he said. 

Doctors attending to the thespian had yesterday said that next two days will be crucial.

Meanwhile, the legendary star has thanked fans for their wishes. “By God’s grace feeling brighter and better. Thank you all for your prayers, love and affection,” a post on the official Twitter handle of the actor read. A smiling picture of Dilip Kumar was shared along with the tweet.

His wife, actress Saira Banu had earlier said that the actor was hospitalised as he was suffering from high fever, chest infection and respiratory problems.
