Design, art and culture
Kick starting the festive season, Serendipity, in collaboration with An Indian Summer organised a weekend of design, art and culture on 27 and 28 September.

Hosted at Serendipity, the two -day celebration showcased the products of handpicked designers, many of them showcasing their products for the first time in Delhi, as well as calligraphy and photography works of some of artistes. Nikheel Aphale and S Thiru exhibited their calligraphic works and clicked pictures respectively. Aphale works are especially the Indian Devanagri script. His attempt with every artwork is to explore and express the secret beauty of forms hidden within the alphabet. Thiru’s photographs are grounded in moments of life, which transcend beauty. They intend to show different spaces within the world, sometimes vast and unending, and at other times microscopic.

The show also featured a stellar performance by Vidya Shah rendering ‘Bas Tu Hi ‘- the feminine in the mystic on the opening day, and Guru Arun Debnath and Sanghamitra Acharya enthralling the audiences with a Hindustani Vocal recital on the second day.
