Youth shot dead in Sohna over property dispute

A youth in his mid 20's was shot dead allegedly over a property dispute in Damdama village in Sohna on the outskirts of Gurugram on Wednesday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Vedpal.
According to police, Vedpal was having a morning stroll around his house on Wednesday morning around 6:30 when three people suddenly came and pumped bullets into his body.
The police have registered the case against the three for the murder.
They have arrested one person named Munder and have begun the search operation for the other culprits.
It is believed that Vedpal was killed because of some property dispute.
According to the deceased's family, the property dispute was lingering for more than a year and Vedpal's murderers were unhappy that the court had given judgement in favour of Vedpal's family.
"We have made one arrest in the case and will soon arrest the other people involved in the murder," said a senior police official from Gurugram Police.
"Though it seems to be a case of inter-family rivalry, we are in touch with the grieving family of the other reasons that may have led to this shoot-out incident.
"We will also interrogate Munder and try to know what prompted him of carrying out this brazen act," the police official added.
