You will get your homes soon, UP ministers assure homebuyers

GREATER NOIDA/NOIDA: In a relief to homebuyers of various housing projects across the twin cities of Noida and Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh Urban Development Minister Suresh Khanna on Wednesday assured that the buyers will get their homes soon.
He affirmed that within a day or two, the Uttar Pradesh government will announce its decision, keeping in mind the interest of homebuyers who have suffered a lot due to delay in possession of their flats.
The Minister also state that an FIR will be registered against Jaypee builders for cheating thousands of homebuyers.
"The government's sympathies are with the buyers. We will make sure that the homebuyers are not deprived. We have noted down all their grievances and soon will come to a decision in favour of them. Strict action will be taken against the frauds and cheating builders," said Khanna.
After Khanna's statement, homebuyers said that their hopes of getting their flats have been revived.
"The Minister's words have restored our hopes. The committee listened to the buyers' issues patiently. We feel and hope that something favouring the homebuyers will likely be announced by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in his visit to Ghaziabad on Thursday," said Indrish Gupta, co-founder, Noida Extension Flat Owner's Welfare Association (NEFOWA).
On Wednesday afternoon, a three-member Cabinet committee, comprising Industrial Development Minister Satish Mahana, Minister (Independent Charge) of Cane Development and Sugar Mills Suresh Rana and Khanna held meetings with builders and homebuyers at Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA).
The committee's aim was to finish the long prevailing woes between the builders and homebuyers.
Over 500 homebuyers of various residential builders' projects took part in the meeting, which continued for more than four hours. They presented their grievances in front of the ministers.
Apart from the three ministers, Noida MLA Pankaj Singh, senior leader and Dadri MLA Tejpal Singh Nagar and other senior authority officials were present at the meeting.
