Yet another cop kills self, third in 30 days

New Delhi: A Delhi policeman allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service pistol inside his car in north west Delhi on Friday. Within a month, this was the third incident where a personnel took the extreme step.
According to police, the incident was reported around 3.25 pm that Sub Inspector Bale Singh, posted at the 2nd Battalion, Delhi Armed Police, committed suicide by shooting himself from his service pistol.
After receiving the information, police team reached the spot where the victim was found sitting in his private vehicle. The car was locked from inside which was opened and the policeman was shifted to hospital where he was declared brought dead.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (North West) Milind Dumbere stated that they found a suicide note in which it was written that the reason behind the suicide was a family issue.
"We are investigating the case from all possible angles," said the DCP.
Earlier on August 27, a Head Constable Pramod Kumar posted with the Delhi Police, shot himself dead in Delhi Cantonment area. A suicide note was recovered which claimed family reason behind taking the extreme step.
Kumar lived with his wife and two children in Gopal Nagar area of Najafgarh.
In another incident, the Station House Officer of Jaitpur police station and an ASI was sent to district lines following allegations of harassment by a cop from the same police station after he committed suicide.
Assistant sub-Inspector Devender shot himself dead with his service revolver near Yamuna bank on August 22, leaving a suicide note accusing ASI Sunder Lal and the SHO Ram Niwas of harassing him.
