YEIDA to launch web portal containing data on plots, lands

Greater Noida: For the first time, Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) will launch a geographic information science (GIS) web portal for the ease of citizens, architects as well as real estate developers.
According to YEIDA officials, the portal will be launched on Monday, and had been in development for the past few months.
The portal would be a platform containing data for plots and land spread over the entire area falling under YEIDA, which will be useful for citizens and other stakeholders.
"The authority has planned to launch a GIS portal. We are focussed on turning the authority paperless and have been putting efforts to contribute towards the Prime Minister's dream of Digital India," said a senior YEIDA official.
"The portal will be launched on first day of the new year. Once operational, it will enable allottees to digitally check the physical location of their allotted plots in just a few clicks," the official added.
The portal has been designed with multiple search layers, like district, taluk, ward, village, clusters and landmarks.
If citizens have any query, they can get the required report through the web portal.
Till now, allottees had to approach the YEIDA office to get information of the land or projects; an officer would then takes five-ten days to give the required information. Now, with the new portal, citizens can get the information by feeding in the required and specific details.
Moreover, YEIDA will launch it official handle on twitter, which will work as an online grievance cell and will be accessed directly by the authority's CEO. "The twitter handle can be accessed at @ceoyeida," said an authority official.
