Woman's body found with her throat slit in New Ashok Nagar

NEW DELHI: A 20-year-old woman was found murdered with her throat slit in east Delhi's New Ashok Nagar area on Friday.
Police found the body of the victim at the residence of one Bhola, at E-425 New Ashok Nagar area. He is currently on the run and is the prime suspect.
Bhola reportedly works in a Noida-based private company.
Police said the deceased was identified as Kumari, who used to live with her family in the same area.
She had been doing graduation through correspondence and was a native of Bihar.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Omvir Singh Bishnoi stated that the girl's parents had registered a case on Thursday, after she daughter went missing and had suspected Bhola's role in her disappearance.
In the course of their search, a police team found Kumari's body in the house rented by the accused. The girl's throat was found to have been slit by a sharp object.
Police said that girl had recently got engaged and the accused had come to know about it on Thursday.
Police are now investigating where the accused had abducted her or called her to his house and then killed her.
"We have sent our police team in different areas to nab the accused," said the DCP.
