Woman's body found hanging from tree in Malviya Nagar graveyard

NEW DELHI: A 40-year-old woman's body was found hanging from a tree at a graveyard in south Delhi's Malviya Nagar on Saturday evening.
The woman is yet to be identified and police have formed teams to figure out how she came to the graveyard and whether she was alone or accompanied by someone.
Whether she was murdered or committed suicide is yet to be determined.
"It is difficult to say if it's a suicide or murder. We can tell more once we complete our investigation," said a police officer.
"We received a call at around 4.30 pm on Saturday that a woman was found hanging from a tree in the graveyard in Savitri Nagar area of Malviya Nagar. Our teams soon reached the spot and secured the location," the officer added.
A forensic team reached the spot to collect fingerprint samples and other forensic evidence from the scene.
Even with the graveyard being located at a busy location, no one had seen the woman coming there.
Cops are also inquiring people in the locality to know whether a woman matching her description recently went missing.
Police are now waiting for the post-mortem report. Surprisingly, there were also no injury marks on the body.
