Woman targeting high-end malls for theft, arrested

New Delhi: A 25-year-old woman was arrested for her involvement in the theft of rupees one lakh from South Delhi's Saket area. Police claimed that on December 8, one Devi Cherian has reported regarding the theft of Rs 1 lakh from her purse while she was shopping at Select City Mall.DCP (South) Vijay Kumar claimed that during the investigation the entire CCTV of the mall was checked where the complainant has visited. It was found that a girl is following complainant regularly and has taken out an envelope from her purse while she was at first floor in Select City Mall. On the basis of secret information, the identity of the girl was established as Nazish Jahan, resident of Jamia Nagar, was arrested from her house on Sunday morning and the stolen amount of Rs 1 lakh recovered.
