Woman suffers injury after her earrings get snatched

New Delhi: A woman suffered injuries on her ear when her earrings were snatched in South West Delhi's Uttam Nagar area. The incident happened nearby the spot where a day before snatchers had targeted a 47-year-old woman and torn her ear near the metro station on Tuesday. Police have so far not been able to track the accused behind both the snatching incidents.
The victim was identified as Kamla Bharti, a resident of Uttam Nagar area. The incident happened around 2 pm when the Kamla Bharti was buying fruits near the Uttam Nagar terminal when two youth on a motorbike grabbed her ear and removed her gold earnings. After snatching the woman felt a lot of pain and her right ear started to drip blood yet the victim chased them to the metro station but they fled.
Police claimed that they are suspecting that same accused may be involved in both the cases. A list of the local criminals with the same modus operandi has been checked. A case has been registered under appropriate sections of IPC and investigation is going on.
After the incident, cops have tightened the vigil around the area to nab the miscreants. Some CCTV footages from the area are being scanned to identify them.
