Woman school principal shot dead over property dispute

New Delhi: A woman was shot dead in front of her husband and son when assailants entered her house with guns and shot dead Anita Yadav. Police said that the murder was a result of a property dispute between the deceased and Naveen. Naveen who is the main accused in the case is absconding. Meanwhile, Anita's brother Jaikishan's body was found in Jhajhhar, Haryana. Haryana police is investigating Jaikishan's murder.
When Anita along with her husband and son returned home on Monday evening, little did she knew that assailants were waiting for her and planned to murder her. Anita who ran a school from her house in Ghummanheda village in Chawla village in Dwarka was shot dead by killers who entered her house around 10 pm on Monday. Sources said that they even tried to kill her husband and son but missed the target.
"It seems to be a property dispute prima facie. The deceased and the accused Naveen were into some dispute over a piece of land. This seems to be the cause of the murder. However, we are investigating the murder and trying to arrest the accused," said Shibesh Singh, DCP Dwarka. It is said that Anita purchased a piece of land from Naveen but he was asking the land back. This severed the relation between the two and Naveen conspired to eliminate her.
Meanwhile, the dead body of Anita's brother Jaikishan was found in Haryana. Haryana Police is trying to ascertain if the two murders are linked. Jhahaar police is investigating Jaikishan's murder. The Delhi Police has formed several teams to arrest the accused. Several teams are looking for him in various parts of Haryana. The body of Anita has been sent for the postmortem.
