Woman killed, another attacked in separate incidents

New Delhi: A 19-year-old woman was found dead in Dwarka on Sunday whereas in another case a woman was attacked with a sharp object in North East Delhi's Sonia Vihar area. Police claimed that in both incidents husbands suspected to be accused in the case.

According to police, they have received a PCR call on Sunday regarding a woman killed in Dwarka sector 23, the police team reached the spot and started the investigation.

"We suspect strangulation but waiting for the postmortem report," said police officer.

The husband of the deceased detained by investigators and the probe revealed that he suspected about his wife character. They both had arguments in the past," police said.

It was also revealed that on the day of the incident, the husband had beaten up his wife. Meanwhile, questioning is going on in this regard.

In another incident, a woman attacked with a sharp object in Sonia Vihar area on Saturday. Police claimed that her husband is absconding. "The sequence will be clear once the woman gives her statement," said police officer. The investigator further added that they found martial discord between husband and wife.
