Woman found dead under mysterious circumstances

NEW DELHI: Mystery shrouds the death of a woman whose body was found in the terrace of her residence in north west Delhi on late Sunday night.

Sources in Delhi Police stated that they are questioning the family members of the victim to know the circumstances that brought her to the roof and led to her death.

According to police sources, the incident was reported late Sunday night, when the deceased, identified as Vinita, had gone to the terrace of her house to collect the clothes which she had hanged for drying.

As per her family's complaint, a few minutes later, they heard a loud cry.

Alarmed, the family members ran to the terrace, only to find Vinita lying in a pool of blood on the ground.

A PCR call was immediately made and the victim was taken to a hospital, where she was declared brought dead.

The deceased had been living with her family in Jahangirpuri area.

Police said that they in the process of questioning the victim's family members.

Several angles are being probed into.

Whether or not the victim was pushed from the terrace is yet to be determined.
