Woman found dead in Rohini, husband missing

NEW DELHI: The body of an unidentified woman was found at an under-construction building in Rohini this morning, with her infant son sobbing by her side where her husband is missing and it is suspected that he killed her, the police said.

According to Rajneesh Gupta, DCP (Rohini), the watchman of the building told that last night, a man with his wife and one-year-old son asked for food and shelter from him. He gave them food and handed a tarpaulin so that they could go and sleep on the first floor of the building.

"This morning, the watchman heard the child crying and when he went upstairs, he saw the woman's body and the husband were nowhere to be seen. He informed cops, who are now questioning him about the identity of the couple. Some contradictions were found in his statement. We have sent the pictures of the woman to neighboring police stations," sources said.
