Viral clip shows woman manhandling Army man

NEW DELHI: A woman who assaulted and publicly slapped an Army personnel in Delhi's Vasant Kunj was arrested by Delhi Police, and later given bail by a Delhi court.
The incident occurred on September 9 when JCO Mahavir Singh was en route Nizamuddin Railway station in Delhi. His Army vehicle was overtaken near Vasant Kunj area by the woman, who was driving her Indica car in a zig-zag manner.
In his police complaint, Singh stated that the woman did not give way to their truck and blocked its passage, despite the Hawaldaar Mohammad Arif honking several times.
Later, the woman stopped her car in front of the truck, accosted the driver out of the car, and began abusing him and grabbed his collar.
The woman allegedly also used derogatory language against the Army. It was then that Sing himself got down and tried to calm the lady. However, she picked a fight with him too and began slapping him repeatedly.
"Seven men were in the vehicle and when she assaulted us, I asked one of my men to do record the incident. The lady then soon sat in her car and left," said the JCO.
However, some passersby captured the incident from their car and uploaded it on social networking sites.
The clip became viral and people on social media demanded immediate action against the woman.
When the police started their investigation, it came to light that the incident occurred in the jurisdiction of Vasant Kunj South Police station under Rajokri flyover.
