Vintage Car rally gets NGT nod

The 51st edition of The Statesman Vintage and Classic Car Rally to be held on the coming Sunday today received a go-ahead from the National Green Tribunal.
The NGT agreed to make an exception to its order banning vehicles older than 15 years from plying on Delhi roads, a statement issued by The Statesman said here today.
The NGT granted permission for the conduct of the annual Rally between February 24 and 26, it said.
The rally will be flagged off from Statesman House at 9 am and will culminate at the Dhyan Chand National Stadium where trophies will be distributed at 3 p m.
More than 90 entries have been received with the oldest being a 1913 Rolls Royce, the statement said.
