Vasant Vihar murder: Police scan deceased's call details from Jan 1
New Delhi: Investigators probing the triple murder case in Vasant Vihar area are scanning the call details of the deceased elderly couple and the maid from January 1, 2019. Police sources said that more than 50 persons have been questioned in the case.
Police sources told Millennium Post that they have questioned all the persons with whom the three deceased talked over the phone from the beginning of 2019. "We have scanned the call records of the elderly couple and the maid. The probe is going on from different angles," added sources.
When asked if they have questioned the maid's close known person, police sources replied that the person was questioned for several hours. Sources said that police have identified few phone numbers and the analysis is being made on the areas where the phone numbers were active. The cops are also probing love angle in the case.
One of the CCTV cameras installed in the Vasant Vihar area had captured a suspect who might be involved in the triple murder case. On Sunday morning, bodies of the elderly couple Vishnu Mathur, Shashi Mathur and their maid Khushboo Nautiyaal were found. Police said that prima facie it seems nothing has been robbed.
"They (deceased) were stabbed," the police said. The elderly citizens lived on the first floor of the house.
The Delhi Police data on heinous crimes against senior citizens revealed that in the year 2018 as many as 63 cases were registered. While in the year 2017, nearly 96 cases were reported.
