Two youth shot dead in separate incidents

NEW DELHI: In two separate incidents in north east Delhi, two youth were shot dead within 24 hours.
The first incident was reported from Brahampuri in Jafrabaad, where Wajid was shot dead by identified men on Sunday night.
He was shot multiple times and cops suspect the murder to be an act of revenge. Another man Faiz was greviously injured in the firing.
"Wajid was a history sheeter at Usmanpur police station and several cases were regstered against him," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (North East) A K Singla.
The assailants reportedly had chased Wajid. When he ran into a lane, he was shot multiple times on his body and died on the spot. Cops are now hunting for the accused.
In the second incident, which took place in nearby Bhajanpura, a 23-year-old man, identified as Arif, was shot dead by unidentified assailants.
Around 12.30 am on Monday, Arif received a phone call and went out of the house while talking on the phone.
"Later, his father heard gun shots and rushed out to see two people running away," Singla told reporters.
Arif's body was later found near the house and the family informed police.
