Two school staff held for attacking scribe in Noida

Noida: Following a grievous attack on a senior journalist from a Hindi news channel on Monday, the Gautam Buddh Nagar police on Tuesday arrested two of the school staffers for thrashing him citing security reasons.
However, the owner of the school Karan Veer Singh is still at large.
The arrested accused have been identified as security guard Sanjay and school cashier Ashok.
According to reports, victim Yusuf Saifi (37) went to RD Public School in Sector 12 in Noida to hand over lunch to his daughter, a Class VII student and son, a class two student.
The security guards did not allow him to enter saying that outside food is not allowed into the school.
Upon further insisting the security guards they took him to the school gallery and the owner of school Karamveer Singh along with some other staffers thrashed him hardly with blunt object.
In the incident, Saifi suffered injuries on his forehead, neck and back. He was rushed to Kailash Hospital in Sector 27 in Noida and is still undergoing treatment.
Following the incident and based on the statement given by the victim, police registered an FIR under IPC sections section 308, 323, 504 and 506 against the manager of the school Karamveer Singh and others.
Meanwhile, local journalists of print and electronic along with the members of their associations have united in the city and warned police to lead a massive protest if suitable proceedings are not undertaken in the case.
They have demanded the arrest of the owner of school at the earliest and alleged that the school is affiliated only till class VIII but are illegally undertaking admissions till Class XII.
The mark sheets provided to the students of Class X and XII are written with the name of some other school but the fees and the classes are undertaken in their own school only.
The scribes have also warned to gherao the DM and SSP office if the arrest is not made in the next two days.
