Two persons held for collection agent's murder

New Delhi: Delhi Police on Monday claimed that they solved murder case of collection agent who was shot dead in Northwest Delhi. The law enforcement agency claimed that they arrested two persons in this regard. Police claimed that the arrests include the woman who harboured and give shelter to accused in the case. On December 26 two PCR calls were received at around 2.45 PM about the shooting of one person at Lawrence road underpass. "Deceased was on a scooter when the incident took place. Injured was taken to nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead," police said.

The officer further claimed that the deceased identified as Vinod Garg (50) who lived in sector 6 Rohini. He was passing through Lawrence road underpass when he was shot.

"He used to work as a commission agent in a factory at Lawrence road," police said adding that motive was robbery. The accused taken a bag containing money.

On Monday, Deputy Commissioner of Police (North-West) Aslam Khan stated that they solved the case and arrested one accused named Mithun.

"Total four persons involved in crime and rest three have been identified and will be nabbed soon," said DCP North West. She further stated that mother of one of the main accused also arrested in harbouring and sheltering the accused. The woman was identified as Uma Devi.
