Two minor girls raped in two separate incidents

Noida/Ghaziabad: In two separate incidents of rape against minor, a three and a half years old girl was allegedly attempted rape by a 62-year-old man in sector 39 area of Noida on Monday while in another incident, a 15-year-old girl was allegedly abducted by two men from Shalimar Garden area of Sahibabad and then gang raped inside a flat before they dumped her at a road in Seemapuri area in Delhi.

In first incident, the accused identified as Akbar Ali, a daily waged labour and a native of Model Town, in Kolkata had come to visit his daughter's house in Sadarpur village in Noida sector 39. Accused man's daughter and his husband lived as tenant in the same house as that of the victim.

According to the complaint, the incident occurred on Monday afternoon when the victim was at home while her parents, who also work as labourers in the area, were out for work. "As the accused man also lived in the same house, he lured the girl to his room while no one was present. However, a neighbour saw Ali taking the girl to his room and immediately informed her parents. As they reached home, the girl narrated the ordeal and told them that the man touched her in her private parts," read the complaint.

"Following the complaint received, a case under IPC sections 376 (punishment for rape) and 3/4 Protection of Child against sexual offences (POCSO) act has been registered against accused. He was absconding after the incident but was arrested from the area on Tuesday. He was produced before the court and has been sent to jail. Meanwhile, a medical examination was ordered for the girl and her condition is stable," said Uday Pratap Singh, Station House officer of sector 39 police station.

In another incident, a 15-year-old girl was allegedly abducted by two men of her neighbourhood while she had gone to take milk from the nearby area on Tuesday morning.

According to police, the duo of accused allegedly abducted the girl and took her to a flat on a motorcycle where they took turns to rape her. Later, they fled away from the spot after dumping the victim at a road in Seemapuri area of Delhi.

"Following the complaint received, a case under 376D (punishment for gang rape) and other relevant sections of the IPC has been registered against two persons. One of the accused has been arrested," said Shlok Kumar, Superintendent of Police (city), Ghaziabad.
