Two men pose as cops, gang-rape girl; arrested

In yet another shocking incident in North-west district's Subash Place, a minor girl has been allegedly raped by two persons who impersonated as police officers. The girl has alleged that she was taken to an isolated building in Shakurpur in Subhash Place and gang-raped by the two men who presented themselves as police officers.

The incident happened on Saturday when the 15-year-old girl was returning from her tuition classes when she was stopped by a man near Britania Chowk. He impersonated as a Delhi Police officer and told the girl that he is in possession of some MMS of the girl. The man asked the girl to accompany her.

The girl was taken to a secluded building nearby where an associate of the accused also joined in. The two then gang-raped her. The two after raping her also threatened her that she might face dire consequences if she told anything to her family.

"They threatened my daughter to kill us if she narrated the rape incident. They even asked her for Rs 5,000," said the victim's father. However, the girl was again harassed by the two on Monday and the duo threatened the girl to put the video on Internet. It was then the girl mustered courage to narrate the incident to her parents who then filed the complaint to the police.

The news of the alleged gang-rape soon spread and the locals then gathered at the accused's office and ransacked the office. Later, the police arrested the accused. Meanwhile, several calls to the DCP North-west and the Addtional DCP went unanswered.
