Two men found dead in Noida

Noida: Two men in their late 30s were found dead at a nursery in sector 126 area of Noida on Thursday morning. Police said that both the deceased men worked at the nursery and suspected that one of the men allegedly killed his co-worker and then committed suicide by hanging himself from the tree.

According to police, the incident came to light around 9 am on Thursday. The deceased identified as Chotan(38), a native of West Bengal and Pawan (35), a native of Chhattisgarh were caretakers in the nursery and were on night duty when the incident took place.

Cops said that the bodies were first spotted by a dayshift worker who came to work and found the nursery locked from inside. As he peeped through the door, he found one of the men lying on the floor. He immediately called the owner of nursery who alerted police.

"On Thursday morning, I received call from a day shift worker who reported the matter to me. I immediately informed police and reached the spot. As the worker jumped over the boundary wall into the nursery, he found one of the worker lying in a pool of blood while another was found hanging from a tree," said Vijendra Singh, owner of the nursery.

Cops said that the matter was reported to them at around 10 am through a PCR call at police helpline number.

"As the information was received, a police team along with forensic experts rushed to the spot and took the bodies into custody. The bodies were sent for the postmortem examination, reports of which are awaited. We can only ascertain the exact reason behind the death once the reports are out to us," said Uday Pratap, Station House Officer of Sector 39 police station. The officer said that they suspect that one of the deceased men first murdered his co-worker then allegedly killed self by hanging himself from a tree.

"Prima facie it appears that an altercation between the two men might have led to the incident. We have also recovered a sharp blunt knife from the spot that was allegedly used to murder Chotan," added Uday Pratap.
