Two men affiliated to Pasonda gang arrested

NEW DELHI: The Special Staff of North East Delhi Police has arrested two wanted robbers, Imran alias Bhura and Naushad, both residents of Ghaziabad and members of Pasonda gang.
Police said Naushad, a butcher by profession, wanted to lead a lavish life and turned to robbery to earn a quick buck. Imran, on the other hand, already had several cases registered against him in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi.
The duo was arrested on December 31, police added.
"A special drive against robbers was taken in North East District. Informers were deputed, dossiers of criminals with similar modus oparendi were analysed and sharp vigil was mounted on activities of the criminals.
"The hard work of our team bore results when we received an information that two desperate robbers of Pasonda gang, involved in robbery cases, would come near a sweet corner at Khajoori red light on a stolen motor cycle. Our team arrested them from the spot," said DCP North East Ajit Kumar Singla on Wednesday.
The accused are reportedly involved in as many as 21 cases, and several cases have been worked out.
"Two country-made pistols and four live cartridges have also been recovered," the DCP said.
