Two killed in separate road accidents in Ghaziabad
Ghaziabad: In two separate road accidents, two persons were killed after being hit by unidentified vehicles while they were riding on two wheeler. Cops said that these two incidents were reported from Khora and Modinagar areas of Ghaziabad.
In first incident, a 28-years- old man was crushed to death by a speeding truck in Khora on Wednesday early morning. The deceased was going towards his house in Dilshad Garden after completing his office in Noida.
According to Police, the victim has been identified as Shaksham Pandey, a software engineer at an IT company in sector 126 of Noida.
"The incident occurred around 4 am on Wednesday and a passerby informed police. A team immediately rushed to the spot and took the body into custody which was sent for the post mortem. We have seized the truck while the driver is absconding," said Satendra Prakash Singh, Station House officer of Khora police station.
The officer further said that an FIR has been registered into the case against unidentified truck driver.
"Following the incident, an FIR against the truck driver under the section of 279 (Rash driving or riding on a public place), 304A (causing death by negligence) and 427 (mischief causing damage to the amount of fifty rupees) of Indian Penal Code has been registered," added Singh. Meanwhile a few passerby told the police that the truck was over speeding and was coming from the wrong way. The deceased was also driving at a high speed and the intensity of the collision was such that the helmet of was completely damaged in the accident and he dead on the spot, a senior police officer said.
In another incident, a 45-years-old TV mechanic was killed after his bike was hit by another bike from behind on Tuesday night. Cops said that the deceased was going to his house after closing his shops in Murdanagar area.
Police officials said that the deceased has been identified as Rajesh Kumar, a resident of Modinagar area of Ghaziabad. Cops added that the accused was listening to songs with the help of earphones on a bike at the time of incident.
