Two including juvenile held for thrashing man to death

New Delhi: Police said that a 23-year-old man was beaten to death in south Delhi, for which two persons – including a juvenile – have been apprehended.
According to police, the victim Deepak, a resident of JJ Colony who worked as a sweeper, had gone missing on January 6, when he had reportedly gone to attend a friend's birthday party in Neb Sarai.
Around 11.30 pm, Deepak reportedly had left for home.
However, his father found Deepak's phone to be switched off. Suspicious, he filed a missing complaint.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Romil Baaniya said a case under Section 365 of the IPC was registered and in the course of the investigation, a 15-year-old boy was apprehended.
The boy revealed that he, along with a friend Deepu, beat up Deepak near Tigri drainage and pushed him into it.
The DCP added that the boy claimed that a previous enmity between Deepak and the accused had led to the incident.
After conducting a raid, cops also arrested Deepu, a resident of a JJ camp in Tigri.
