Two held for robbing woman cashier of Rs 5L
New Delhi: Delhi Police on Monday said that they have arrested two robbers who were involved in daylight robbery of Rs 5 lakh with lady cashier of a school in Mohan Garden area. The criminals told the officials that information about the cashier's money and weapon for the crime was provided by a woman whose husband is presently lodged in jail.
Police identified the accused as Atul Pradhan and Mayank both aged 19 years. The incident came to light on April 4 at around 03:42 PM when a PCR call was received regarding 2 persons fired on the leg and looted 5 lakh rupees near a reputed Public School in Dwarka Mor. The woman was also injured in the robbery.
During investigation, footages of more than 68 CCTV cameras were analyzed. On checking the vehicle record, the Scooty in which criminals came was found registered in the name of Mahipal Singh resident of East Krishna Vihar. Raid was conducted and the above said Scooty was recovered from there.
During the investigation, Mahipal Singh's son Vaibhav stated that he has given this Scooty to his friend Mayank on April 4 for personal use. Then, Mayank was examined. It revealed that he has further given this Scooty to one Atul Pradhan.
During the investigation, Pradhan's number was found active and its location was traced at Vats Colony Bahadurgarh, HR. Immediately, a raid was conducted at Bahadurgarh and one person identified as Jaideep was apprehended. He disclosed that it was his number and Atul Pradhan was using it forcibly.
"A raid was conducted at BindaPur and the main accused Pradhan was arrested," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) Anto Alphonse.
